The Glass Shoppe Studio is thrilled to welcome Hearts of Glass on July 24th – Andrea Steinwand and Heather Stewart.
Andrea and Heather are Hearts of Glass, a beadmaking team from Winnipeg who have just moved to Ottawa. Ottawa is Heathers home town. Not only is it good to be home, but what better way to step into the beadmaking scene than a demo of some of their skills and a trunk sale of their lampwork jewellery designs?
Saturday July 24th at 1pm Heather will take the torch and demonstrate a glass fish bead and an off-mandrel calla lily pendant. As a veteran demonstrator, Heather will cover studio safety and tools, glass colour reaction theory, pulling cane, and a wide variety of shaping techniques that beginner lampworkers can apply to their own work.
Andrea will talk about some of her jewellery finishing techniques, share booth display tip and tricks and show off the current Hearts of Glass collection.
